  • Who will you allocate as my Hair Artist?
    We will allocate your hairstylist after you have secured your date based on availability. We have carefully selected our team of hairstylists to ensure the best experience on the day. Please let us know if you have a preference before making your booking.
  • Can I send you photos for inspiration?
    Yes, you are more than welcome to email your photos to nlucasbeatuy@hotmail.com, and we will pass them on to your MUA or hairstylist.
  • Can I buy lipstick from you on that day?
    Some of our MUA will have your lipstick available to purchase on the day. Your makeup artists, we discuss this during your trial. Feel free to email us to check if you are not planning to do a trial.
  • How much time do you allocate per person on the day?
    We allocate approx. One hour per person for makeup and one h to 45 min for hair. We will communicate our start time based on your booking before your event.
  • Will you do a touch-up on the day?
    Yes, we always offer makeup touch-ups before we leave. We allocate 30min for this at the end.
  • How many MUAs and Hair artists do I require on the day?
    We can manage up to seven people per artist. We usually suggest adding additional artists for eight or more people to avoid early start times.
  • How do I prepare for the wedding?
    Please wash your hair the day before Two shampoos and minimal conditional on the mid-lengths to ends only Please have hair completely bone dry and ready for styling No hot irons, tongs or products Clean face (no foundation, sunscreen or mascara)
  • What makeup brands do you use?
    Mac, Estée Lauder, Dior, Tarte, Napoleon, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Laura Mercier and many more.
  • Do you use vegan products?
    Yes, we do have vegan products available in our kit. Please let us know prior if this is a requirement.
  • Do you have experience working with different types of complexions and skin tones?
    Yes, we do.
  • Will you provide me with a timeline for my wedding day?
    We will communicate with you what time our team will start and what time we will aim to finish. We won’t send you a schedule for who is doing their makeup and hair when, we will communicate this on the day and are happy to work with you to make the process fun and smooth on the day.
  • What areas do you service?
    We service the area from Coffs Harbour to Noosa (Coast, Hinterland, and up to 3 hours inland from the Gold Coast). We are also available for destination weddings.
  • Do you offer mobile services and in-salon services?
    Yes, we provide mobile services and salon based appointments (Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast).
  • Do you have a minimum number of people for mobile services?
    Yes, we have a minimum charge that ranges from 3 people to 5 people depending on day and location. Please send us an inquiry for more details.
  • What areas do you service?
    From Byron Bay to the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, please send us an inquiry if you are unsure.
  • Will you travel to destination weddings?
    Yes, some of our MUAs and Hairstylists will travel for destination weddings. The client will be in charge of booking and paying for any travel expenses in addition to the bridal quote. NLM must approve all flights and accommodation before booking.
  • Do I have to organise parking for the MUA and hairstylist on the day?
    Yes, if your wedding is located in Brisbane City, certain areas of Surfers Paradise or a location where there is no nearby street parking. It is your responsibility to organise and pay for parking for your makeup artist and hairstylist.
  • Do you offer makeup and hair trials?
    Yes, we offer makeup and hair trials at our Mermaid Beach salon. We don't include trails in our quotes, this is an optional extra.
  • Is it required to have a bridal trial?
    No, trials are an optional extra.
  • How do I book my trial?
    You can book makeup trials directly on our website. Hair trials are organised directly with our hairstylist, please send us an email, and we will organise for your hairstylist to contact you.
  • When should I book my bridal trial?
    We suggest locking in your trial date as soon as possible as we tend to book out a few weeks in advance.
  • Should I book my trial before securing my wedding date?
    You can, but we always recommend securing your wedding date first as we cannot hold wedding dates. This means that we can't guarantee that your wedding date will still be available by the time you have had your trial.
  • How much is the wedding deposit?
    $100 for makeup and $200 for hair and makeup. This deposit is non-refundable.
  • When is my final payment due for weddings?
    The final payment is due 30 days before your wedding date.
  • Is there an after-hours fee?
    Yes, if we are required to start before 6 am, an after-hours fee of $50 per artist will be added to your invoice.
